Character Stats

Priority-Based Rotation

Set ability priorities and conditions. The simulator will use abilities based on availability, Winter Orbs, and cooldowns.

Ability Priority Order

Drag abilities to reorder priority. Higher priority abilities will be used first when conditions are met.

Configuration

Configure when abilities should be used based on enemy count and combat conditions.

Hammer Storm

Hammer Storm will only cast when there are at least this many enemies.
Hammer Storm will only cast when Fury is at least this amount.
Hammer Storm will continue channeling until it has consumed this much Fury.

Wild Swing

Wild Swing will only cast when there are at least this many enemies.

Chain Lightning

Chain Lightning will only cast when there are at least this many enemies.

Culling Strike

Culling Strike will spend exactly this much Fury (1-20). Damage increases by 20% per Fury spent.

Allow Heavy Strike Cancel

Select abilities that can cast during the 0.5s auto-attack animation, canceling Heavy Strike queue.

Schism

When enabled, Skull Crusher or Hammer Storm with Schism buff will be cast immediately, overriding priority order.

Leap Smash

Chance for Leap Smash to hit enemies (0-100%). Used to test High Road talent.

Skull Crusher

Skull Crusher will only cast when Fury is at least this amount.

Swing Reset Window

Maximum time after an auto attack impact that swing-resetting abilities (Skull Crusher, Hammer Storm, Culling Strike) can be cast. Set to 0 to only allow immediately after impact, 5.0 for no restriction. Lower values maximize Heavy Strikes.

Sequence-Based Rotation

Create a fixed sequence of abilities that repeats in order.

Tariq's Guide

Core Mechanics

Fury

  • Generation: Auto attacks, Heavy Strike, Wild Swing, Face Breaker, Leap Smash, Chain Lightning, and some talents modify abilities to generate Fury
  • Spender Abilities: Hammer Storm (26-50 Fury), Skull Crusher (50 Fury), Culling Strike (up to 20 Fury)
  • Maximum: 100 Fury
  • Display: Shown as a bar beneath your character

Swing Timer

  • Duration: 4.5 seconds base, with 0.5s animation time.
  • Heavy Strike Queue: You can queue heavy strike any time until the end of the red section, at which point, if any damaging ability is cast after heavy strike and before the auto attack lands, it will be canceled and a regular auto attack will occur.
  • Reset Abilities: Skull Crusher and Hammer Storm reset the swing timer

Thunder Call

  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Enhancements: Enables Chain Lightning and enhances Heavy Strike, Hammer Storm, and Skull Crusher with additional lightning damage
  • Raging Tempest: provides same benefits as Thunder Call, and provides extra damage, haste, and expertise.

Global Cooldown (GCD)

  • Duration: 1.5 second (affected by Haste)
  • Bypass Abilities: Face Breaker, Focused Wrath, Leap Smash, Thunder Call, Raging Tempest, (and Pummel, Unbreakable Will, Intimidate), can be used during GCD

Assumptions & To-Do

  • Fury generation based on damage: 1000 damage = 1.4 fury for auto attack, face breaker, and chain lightning. 1.6 fury for heavy strike (this is an approximation from target dummy data, unsure if this also scale inversely based on current strength stat).
  • Spirit Points 1 per 3 seconds, and 1 per the following abilities:
    Leap Smash, Raging Tempest, Chain Lightning, Skull Crusher, Hammer Storm (1 every tick)
  • Heavy Strike, when selected, assumes it is always the last button to be queued before the auto attack.
  • Wild Swing damage based on crit is calculated as (Strength*0.62)*(1 + crit chance %) ex: for new character: 1000*0.62*(1+0.05) = 651 damage
  • Left Hand Path (Face Breaker) splash damage falloff dimishing return of 10% reduction per enemy beyond 5.
  • Concatenation (Auto Attack) reduces swing timer from 5s to 3.33s.
  • Blood & Thunder (Heavy Strike) 13.33% chance (2.0 PPM / 15 AA per min).
  • Thunderstruck: When combined with Blood & Thunder assumes the proc benefits from the additional bounces.
  • Mouth for War: can we go above 2 charges from Focused Wrath?
  • Schism: with Focused Wrath are the multipliers additive or multiplicative? (X*(1.5 + 3) or X*1.5*3)
  • Schism: is there an internal cooldown on the buffs or a straight % chance? 1.2ppm is vague when these are not cooldown or gcd based abilities. For now it is 10% chance.
  • Spit It Out: crit power set to 210% for now, could be 220%?

Tariq DPS Sim Update History

  • October 29, 2025
    • Auto attack every 5 seconds instead of 4.5 seconds, and fixed ability descriptions to match sim.
    • Updated Auto Attack damage to 1.24x Strength.
    • Various ability damage coefficients tweaked from early access build.
    • Crack the Sky talent reduced from +25% crit chance to +20% crit chance.
    • Raging Tempest now deals proper instant damage and affects expertise instead of crit chance.
    • Passive Spirit generation now at 1 per 3 seconds instead of 5 seconds.
    • Skull Crusher has 50 fury cost now.
    • Chain Lightning now accurately hits targets and does not skip damage due to hitting player.
    • Concatenation talent reduces from 5s swing timer to 3.33s swing timer, was only affecting 4.5s previously.
    • Haste now affects swing timer.
  • October 16, 2025
    • Reverted GCD to 1.5 sec
    • Updated Auto Attack damage to 0.4x Strength

Simulation Settings

Iteration Options

  • 1x: Single run, high variance, low accuracy (default)
  • 100x: 100 iterations, moderate variance, moderate accuracy
  • 1000x: 1000 iterations, low variance, high accuracy

Duration Options

  • 30 Seconds: Quick test, good for burst analysis
  • 60 Seconds: Standard encounter length (default)
  • 120 Seconds: Extended fight, better for sustained DPS
  • 300 Seconds: Extended fight, better for sustained DPS

Enemy Count

  • Range: 1-20 enemies
  • Single Target: 1 enemy - single-target (default)
  • Small Group: 2-4 enemies - mixed strategy
  • Large Group: 5+ enemies - multi-target abilities preferred

Customizable Options

  • Stats Options: The Stats Tab lists current stats for a new character, these can be customized to your liking.
  • Rotation Options: Drag and drop Abilities in the list to reorder Priority in the Rotation Tab
    • There are Advanced Ability Settings below the Priority list.
  • Talent Options: Select and deselect talents in the Talent Tab.
